For all of you that are wondering what the status is:
I am currently stuck in bed at Woodland Care Center (7120 Corbin, Reseda, CA).
My left humerus is broken at the head, and is has three bolts and a sling holding it still...
My left Fibula is extra broken from the knee about half way down to the ankle. I have an external fixation (which I like to call a robot) which keeps the pieces of bone from hitting each other.
After a week, the swelling in my leg seems to have gone down a lot, and I am sceduled for surgery on Wednesday, which means I will be transferring back to Glendale Memorial on Tuesday.
I may be spending Thanksgiving in the hospital (bummer) but shouold be home by the end of the week. We are still trying to decide what is the best route as far as going home. If I go back to my apartment, the stairs could make things complicated. I can go to my mother-in-law's in Glendale, but there may not be anyone around to help me if I need it. I can go to my brothers house in Chino, and there will be people to help and no stairs, but I will be in Chino......... None of these is ideal, and it seems like the only other option is to come back to WCC in Reseda. Please pray for us to have wisdom in figuring all of this out.....
Thanks again for all your support!
